Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing, which is a subset of alternative medicine.
I am trained and practice the principles founded by Mikao Usui. Mikao Usui was a renowned Tendai Buddhist and the founder of the spiritual practice what we know today as “Reiki”. He was born on August 15, 1865, in the Yamagata region in Japan. His family was of Buddhist traditions and lived there for 11 generations.
As a Reiki practitioner, I use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a “universal energy” is transferred through my palms and received by my client in order to encourage emotional and physical healing. The treatment can also be performed with palms slightly off the client if the client would prefer.
The term “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” which means vital life force energy that flows through all living things. Some practitioners describe reiki as acupuncture without the needles. It’s based on an Eastern medicine belief that living beings have energy fields that support their health and vitality. Energy blocks, on the other hand, impede the innate flow of energy, causing not only health problems but also negative life circumstances like financial troubles or relationship problems.
Energy blocks of any living being can be treated, which is why some practitioners also work on animals and plants. Reiki practitioners focus on sensing energy blocks and moving the energy for the greatest good of the client
Reiki is a beautiful treatment that encourages healing for the mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is easy to receive and feels gentle and peaceful but can yield powerful shifts which encourage positive change. Reiki is an exquisite energy healing technique I want to share with others so they too can feel the benefits of a deeper connection within themselves.
Remote Reiki
Reiki can be shared remotely from practitioner to client if you are unable to come for a Reiki treatment in person.

Is Reiki for Me?
Reiki is a complimentary therapy
There are no contraindications to Reiki so it can be enjoyed by all and can be of benefit to everybody. Reiki is a complimentary therapy which can be used in conjunction with any medical treatment for both physical and emotional conditions.
Reiki is an ideal treatment to receive when recovering from illness or surgery. Reiki can help to enhance the body’s own self-healing and is deeply relaxing. When the body and mind is truly relaxed, it can begin to heal itself in miraculous ways.
During a Reiki treatment it is quite normal for the client to fall peacefully asleep or to enter a deep meditational state which can bring true peace and evoke a deeper connection with oneself.
